About the Group His Praise is a Southern Gospel Quartet from Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Together the group travels for the purpose of presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ through song and testimony. It is the prayer of His Praise that the message in their music will touch your heart, change your life and draw you closer to God’s will. In February of 2000, four guys from Hillcrest Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, Kentucky set out on a mission to proclaim the word of God through music at an event called Legacy Builders. This was a conference like the Promise Keepers event except for local men. After returning from this event, God laid it on their hearts to form a Southern Gospel Quartet. This started out to be just a local music ministry. They traveled around town singing wherever God opened doors. Now the group travels to churches, civic centers, gyms, parks and other venues wherever Gods’ hand leads them. This desire to sing Southern Gospel four-part harmony became a burning desire. They traveled and spread the gospel through song across the land. Their inspiration began many years ago by listening to the original Cathedrals Quartet. It is that smooth tight sound that His Praise desires. God is using His Praise in ways beyond any single imaginable thought. He continues to open doors to tell the land about what Jesus Christ has done for them and what he will do for you if you just open your heart and let him in. In July of 2004, His Praise received the honor of Grand Champion at the Kentucky State Farm Bureau Quartet Contest and then advanced to the National Quartet Talent Search in Louisville, Kentucky at the 2004 National Quartet Convention. His Praise received 13th place out of 49 groups represented at the contest. 2004 proved to be a very prosperous year for His Praise. All four members of the group graduated from the Steve Hurst School of Music in Nashville, Tennessee. This began a new avenue of worship for the group as they now travel for Christ and proclaim his holy name though song and ministry. In 2007 His Praise Quartet again won 2007 Grand Champion at the Kentucky State Farm Bureau Quartet Contest and then advanced to the National Quartet Talent Search in Louisville, Kentucky at the 2007 National Quartet Convention. His Praise received 13th place.
